Curlew Cottage Details, Sleeps 2

Curlew Cottage dates back to 1830. It is a well presented one bedroomed traditional Victorian Suffolk Cottage within a few minutes walk of Woodbridge town centre.

It has recently been very tastefully restored for our family and other people to enjoy.

It is steeped in local history and character (see the presentation wall cabinet upstairs which contains items that were uncovered during its most recent renovation)

Please note it will not suit everyone’s taste due to its steep stairs and the slope of the bedroom floor. Those C19th stairs are steep and the cottage with all its eccentricities is not for those who might find such things challenging.

It has a modern well equipped kitchen and all necessary C21st comforts: a log burning stove (logs and kindling provided), central heating, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, freezer, microwave, coffee making machine, smart TV, WiFi, radio and CD.

There is normally free parking in the street outside or directly opposite the house. You are also allowed to use Jewsons car park when they are closed. That is after 5pm until 8am in the morning on weekdays and they are closed after 12 on Saturday until Monday morning at 8am. There is also more free street parking in the Thoroughfare if you turn left at the bottom of Sun lane and also in Deben road. If you still can’t find anywhere to park there is a pay and display in Lime Kiln Quay Road. We have never had to use the pay and display yet but it is there if needed.

Relax: the garden outside is a calm and meditative space perfect for morning coffee, reading, chatting and eating.

Bed linen and towels provided.
